FAMILY

Well the show is over and Noah is on the road on his way to Maine with Michael
Cleveland!!  Noah did a great job yesterday---it was the first time we have ever seen him
nervous on the stage though!!  He was much more relaxed the second show than he was
during the first one, but everyone told us he did a great job!!!!  We can' t thank everyone
enough for all of the support that they offered Noah, all of the kind words mean more to us
than you will ever know!!!  Bruce and Jim--thanks so much for taking time off of work to
come out and watch and Bruce thanks for taping the shows for us!!!  There were so many
people there yesterday that supported Noah is was unbelievable: James White and Bertha,
Jerry Caudill, All of Common Ground (along with Linda), Randy King, Josh Richards, The
Bays, The McCraken's, The Ramey's, The Clerkin's, The Grimes, The Deaton's, The
Treadway's, and so many more!!! Please forgive me if I forgot to mention anyone :-)  We
are so thankful that this opportunity came Noah's way, this is always something he has
dreamed of doing---and he is doing it!!!!!  We have to thank James White an extra special
amount---before John Cleveland called Noah, he called James and asked him if he thought
Noah could handle the job and James told him Noah could handle anything that they threw
his way!!!  So thank you, James, from the bottom of our hearts!!!!!!!!!!!

A very busy few days have past.  On Saturday, we went to the Hayden Junefest and spent
the whole day.  The morning started by seeing the end of The Old Hat Band's show.  They
are a family band from southern Indiana, and the girls really hit it off!  We got to see alot of
great entertainment!  David and Noah played with Destiny, Bert and the Renegades, and of
course us!  Elizabeth got to play with a band we have never seen (heard of-but never seen)
Kentucky Rain.  They were awesome and Elizabeth did a great job with them!!!  Toward the
end of the evening Don Tatlock put us and 2 members of the Old Hat Band on stage.  The
girls twin-fiddled 'Ashoken Farewell'-it was beautiful!!!  On Sunday morning, Noah got a
phone call from John Cleveland, Michael's dad, and he was asked if he could fill in for
Michael's banjo player for a short tour.  Well, of course, the answer was YES, so Noah is so
excited, and scared, but he will be a Flamekeeper with the band Wednesday-Sunday.  They
will travel to Bean Blossom on Wednesday and then on to Maine, Pennsylvania, and ending
in Canada on Sunday--WOW!!!  On Monday we had the honor of being in Renfro Valley
again.  As always the crowd was great and Trooper always does such GREAT sound!
Since this was gospel night there was another band there---The Calvarymen---they are a
quartet out of Michigan---their harmony was unbelievable and they were a blast to watch
perform.  We have been busy these last few days, but can't wait to go watch Noah at Bean
Blossom!!!!

Wow! What a busy weekend!!!  We had 4 shows over the weekend, from Little Grantville on
Friday, to Happy Valley and Madison on Saturday, to Flatland Bluegrass Barn on Sunday.
We had a great time at all of them, but it was really hot--more like August weather!!
Everyone please remember all of the victims of the flooding in our area!!  We are still
waiting to hear from some of our friends in the Columbus area---we are praying that they
are all well.  We weren't personally affected by the flooding--our creek was up to the road,
and we had to drive an extra few miles to get home on Saturday evening, but that was not a
problem.   Sure hope all of you out there are ready for the warm upcoming summer!!!  Take
care until we see all of you again!!!!

First I want to tell everyone that Elizabeth turned "16" today and had a good
time with all of her "Silver Dollar City" presents.  We got home this
morning at 4 am, but had a great three-days at Silver Dollar City in Branson,
Missouri!  We played 12 half hour shows in three days; Sunday, Monday,
and  Tuesday---we only had one show get cancelled because of rain--so
we had great weather and GREAT audiences!!!  We are always so blessed
to meet all of the people that come to listen to our performances---everyone
is so friendly and are always so encouraging---we have a blast!!
Elizabeth took along her new banjo and got lots of compliments and she is so glad to have
her own banjo and Noah is glad that she has her own banjo, so that his can stay in
tune!!!!(He says that she always messes up his banjo!!!)  While we in between shows
yesterday--WOW---Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent walked by.  They stopped and shook
everyone's hands and we got their autograph's---of course, I didn't bring my camera that
day--but it was really cool to meet them!  We couldn't go see them, since our shows were
the same times that theirs were--but it was a thrill to actually meet them---the girls were
SPEECHLESS--Darrin introduced himself to them-waiting for them to tell him their
names-and David had to come to the rescue--they couldn't even remember their own
names--it was terrific.  They are a couple of great guys and everyone should check them
out.  Their harmony is unbeatable.
We are glad to be home and can't wait to see everyone at a local show real soon!!
MAY 19, 2008
Howdy folks!  We have been busy lately, but had some really fun shows.  On the 13th we
had our first of 6 shows at Renfro Valley, what a blast!  Trooper Cromer always does such
a great job with the sound, and that makes Renfro Valley one of our favorite places to
play.  The crowd that evening was awesome!!!!  On the 15th we played at Brookville
Senior Center, to a group of dear friends!  We always like playing anytime for Mel--he is a
great friend!!  On the 17th we were in Richmond for Mae Wager's benefit and we want to
say a big Thanks to Dad and Yvonne---Mike, Tom, Sam, and Kishawn for coming and
watching.  We are getting geared up for our trip to Missouri this weekend!  We play at
Silver Dollar City for three days and the kids are already planning on what they are going
to ride, eat and do for the three days!  We will see you all around real soon-we hope!!!
Hope everyone has a safe Memorial Day!!
APRIL 20, 2008
Thanks to everyone who came out on Friday night and supported the Caudill Family and
Friends at the Cystic Fibrosis Benefit!!!  Almost $4,000 were raised!!!  Thank you, Thank
you, Thank you!!!!!
April 15, 2008
Well folks-sure hope everyone is enjoying the warmer days!  Actually, we have a heavy
frost this morning, but it is supposed to get back into the 70's this week!! Yippee!!!
We got to play at the First Annual Merle Rowlett Festival in Madison on the 5th, along with
Blueline.  We spent most of the day there and  had a really good time.  It was nice to be
out, with the nice weather, so the kids could do some extra jammin', and they did!
On Friday, the 11th,  we went to Seymour to the Heartbeat Cafe to watch Destiny
perform.  They had asked Noah to come play banjo for them and the rest of us thought it
would be nice to go watch them.  Destiny always puts on a great Gospel show and their
harmonies are tremendous!!  They ended up getting us to come up and pick a few and we
ended the show with all of us stage- Jammin'- what a great time!!!
On Sunday, the 13th, we went to Annette's house( Shari's sister) to celebrate her
birthday!  We all had a really good time and we had a good time of fellowship.
Hope you had a GREAT BIRTHDAY, ANNETTE!
We will hopefully see you all around at a show somewhere soon!!!!
March 25, 2008
Well the Easter Season has come and gone, sure hope everyone had a blessed day and
remembered to take the time out of their busy schedules to thank Jesus Christ for the
ultimate sacrifice that He made for all of us!!  We had a double blessing this year, because
David's birthday was on Easter this year!  This month has been a slow one for us (when it
came to performing!)  The upcoming months are sure to get busier.  It was kind of nice to
just hang-out at home some this month, though : -)
Noah had his 18th birthday this month amd is looking into his plans for college and his
future.  He will be attending IVY Tech this fall to pursue Law Enforcement.  Noah wants to
be an  Indiana State Trooper when he is finished-plus he has to be 21 before they will
accept an application.  Please keep him in your prayers, the upcoming months will surely be
bringing some new and confusing times for him.  Noah's Civil Air Patrol Unit, was called to
Evansville to help with the flooding last week.  He said they filled sandbags and filled some
more and then went and stacked.  He said they kept a 5' wall of water away from a soldiers
house who is stationed in Iraq!  What a great thing to do!!  We were so proud of all of them.
Of course, Noah was so sore when he got home---but not to sore to pick---Jake Brown and
Donnie Collings came the next day to do some practicing for Blueline!  They play at the
Donner Center at the end of the month and had a bunch of new songs to work out!!
Jake and his fiancee Kathy, Donnie and his wife Kayla, along with Noah and Elizabeth went
to see The Dan Tyminski Band and they are all fired up about learning some new songs!!!!
We have started our next CD--we have 6 songs started, with 4 of them almost completely
done!  We are keeping busy learning some brand new songs to put on this CD.
We are so glad that SPRING is finally here and we can start planning the garden!!!  It is
always so enjoyable to start working around in the yard and the waiting for fresh lettuce and
onions is a hard thing to do, but it is so worth it!!  Hope everyone enjoys our longer days
and sure hope that is gets warmer and warmer every day!!!!
February 19, 2008
We had a great weekend!  On Friday evening we were in Everton, at Harvest Time
Restaurant.  We had a GREAT crowd!!   We had 6 new songs and everyone seemed to like
them--especially Elizabeth's new claw hammer song--
Keep on the Sunny Side, and when
Rebekah played twin fiddle with Elizabeth on
--Angeline the Baker!  On Saturday we were
at Heritage House Nursing Home in Seymour, they are always so appreciative and we
enjoy playing there.  That evening we went to Little Grantville.  What a wonderful time.  We
played after Leatherwood Valley ( who are always a joy!) and then New Terrain played and
Noah joined Destiny on stage and played bass for them!  Yes, bass, and he had blisters
when he got done----so he now has a little more sympathy for his Dad : - )  New Terrain and
Destiny are both full of  wonderful people and both wonderful bands--they both have terrific
harmony and play for the most important reason---to give glory to our Savior, Jesus Christ!
On Sunday evening we performed before our Pastor Dan Selby gave his sermon.  We are
so thankful for our home church--Pastor Selby is a wonderful man and pastor and always
has a terrific sermon!!!  Come join us some Sunday at Faith Baptist Church on Moscow
Road in Greensburg!!!
January 28,2007
Hope everyone has been getting through the cold snap that we have been having!  Brrrrr-it
has been really bad, but January is almost over and hopefully, February will be better!
We played at the Donner Center on the 12th and had a totally Great Time. We got to see
the Northam's and the Collin's again, we haven't seen the Northam's for over a year-so it
was great to see them.  They hadn't ever heard David or Noah sing, so they really got fired
up when they both sang that night!  They kept the crowd going and in turn, made up put on
a good show!!! (It is amazing how a crowd can make you play better, but they do!!)  Thanks
to Joe Wright and Jackie Combest for having us!!
On the 26th we were to play at Henryville, but we didn't make it :-( On Friday Elizabeth and
Rebekah were playing on our pond--and Elizabeth twisted her knee wrong and hurt it.  It is
getting better, but really hurt on Saturday and we figured all the steps at Henryville would
hurt her knee more-so us girls all stayed home ---
Jake Brown and Blueline played at Henryville, though, so David and Noah and David's
brother, Bruce, went on down.  Bruce said the guys did a real good show the first official
time playing as "Blueline."  We were really sorry to miss it, but we will get to see them this
coming Saturday when we both play at Madison!
